Fight for Sight (FFS) recognizes your trust and fully respects your privacy. FFS is the sole owner and the only organization that uses information collected on this site, through direct mail appeals or from registration at special events. We collect information exclusively for the purpose of improving relationships with our donors, alumni and friends and furthering our mission of supporting vision research. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others under any circumstances.

Other than the specific instances outlined in this policy, FFS does not collect personal information about on-line visitors or how they use the site. FFS also does not use the information-tracking devices made possible through "cookies," small pieces of data that may be sent to your Web browser from a server and stored on your computer's hard drive.

We do not gather any personally identifiable information without your knowledge and consent.

Information that we collect from donors, alumni and other friends includes name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and research interests. For grant recipients, we collect information about education and training. We consider this information highly confidential and it is securely stored internally and accessed by employees only when necessary.

Online Donations

When making an online donation, FFS protects your financial information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems.

FFS collects the following information through our secure online donation pages: name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card information. We may also collect information about research areas of interest. This personally identifiable information is used to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes and to include you on our mailing list.

If you send a donation in honor or in memory of someone and request that an acknowledgement be sent to another individual or family, we will use the name and address of that individual or family for acknowledgement and will include that individual or family on our mailing list.
